How is everyone feeling with the new moon in Leo? We should be feeling the outward energy of beginning and new intentions. Form is more possible as the moon moves from fiery Leo to earthy Virgo. The initiating energy can have us turning towards chores, tidying up and getting organized. We are more able to attend to details. It is favored to begin a gym or health routine, even a doctor appointment.
On the less positive side, Mercury stations retrograde at 04°Vi06', "A man dreaming of fairies." This symbol speaks to imagination, inspiration, perception and the consideration of all possibilities. This retrograde is likely an overhaul on our communications, it will have our creativity turned up, providing solutions to difficult problems as if by magic. This retrograde will be in effect until August 29, and we will be in the shadow of the retrograde until September 12. This is the date Mercury returns to 04°Vi06, returning to the "business" that was put on hold with the retrograde cycle with a renewed perspective. I like to think of retrograde cycles like a detour and not negative as astrologers say. In fact, Mercury spends about 20% of the year retrograde, closer to 40% if we count the shadow period. Thats why I propose we look at the high road of these experiences, we still want to beware of buying electronics and be extra clear in communications (the potential for misunderstandings is high!!).
Lastly, the Sun is at, "the human soul awaits the opportunity for expression," which speaks to knowing when to act. We get signals from intuition about when is the right time to make our move, the goal is to avoid procrastinating or being afraid to make a decision. Chances are, with Mercury turning retrograde we will feel a missed opportunity. Do not fear, because the sun on Sept 12 is an automobile caravan which favors starting projects and finding focus. Everything is ordered.
