January 13, 2024 – Full Moon Compromise

After a weekend of rest and relaxation, the week begins with a heavy astrological day. The Moon is in Cancer for the second day, and we have the Full Moon (23°Cn59') at 5:26PM, Sabian Symbol, “a woman & two men castaways on a small island of the south seas.” Full Moons are about clarity and revelation relating to the new moon 2 weeks before. In this case, the Capricorn New moon was discharging, “an albatross feeding from the hand of a sailor” and reminds us that. “Those who wish to receive, must be willing to give.” We knew our lesson was likely to be in generosity, care and concern for others. Now that we see the Full Moon symbol speaks to limited resources and cooperation for those castaways. In this case, we are more like the Albatross feeding from the hand of a sailor and dependent on others. Interestingly with this Full Moon symbol, there is an imbalance of power and possible need to mediate. We will likely be learning lessons in prioritizing things and making choices that allow us to have our cake and eat it too. Our advantage lies in demonstrating our competency and skills which prove we may be the best person to handle a job. On the other hand, we must keep our emotions in check and support someone else if they are better at something. We are reminded to use reason and see if you are able to learn something. We may find that our inner strength is greater than we thought.

Overnight we have the Sun (23°Cp23’) trine Uranus Rx (23°Ta23’) at 3:13AM. This aspect is our identity powering reforming universal consciousness. We will likely find life exciting right now. We will be looking to make changes and implement new habits. With Uranus retrograde, we may have some of the things built in this phase undone as this dance between the Sun and Uranus progresses.

Lastly, we have the Black Moon moving to 22° Libra at 7:04PM, rounding up, this is the symbol of, “a rooster.” With the Black Moon here, our shadow side may get us in trouble for speaking up or saying what is on our mind. As long as we stick to the facts and avoid exaggerating or overstating our case, we can be the voice of many. Be careful to not allow your ego to get out of hand and who knows what following may be generated.
