July 15, 2024 - Lack of Concern for Superficial Appearances

The Moon in Scorpio is one of the harder positions due to the moon being in the sign of its depression/fall, or least comfort. While Scorpio is a water sign, I feel it is different from the Cancer and Pisces in that it doesn’t "want" to be feminine or watery. The hard shell of the scorpion juxtaposes the flowy water adding to the transformative element of this sign. This is to say our emotions can feel like they are on a see-saw. Despite this, the moon is still in First Quarter where we step out and take action. Our aspects today support action as well. Firstly, the Sun (23°Cn28') squares Chiron (23°Ar28') at 7:43AM. This aspect marks the start of a spiritual awakening. Your innermost thoughts and dreams will show the path to healing past hurt. Memories may haunt us. Where do we need to gain a new perspective, both the Sabian symbols allude to wind, nature and man/woman's interaction with it.

The big event of this week is Mars conjunct Uranus (26°Ta19') at 10:04AM. This energy has likely been felt the last 2-3 days and will continue several days in the future. The Sabian for this conjunction is, "an old Indian woman selling beads." This is one of my favorite symbols because it shows a basic lack of concern for superficial appearances and places value on an inner reality of skills and talents. It speaks to wisdom gained through experience as well as preserving and sharing one's cultural knowledge. We can be creative today but ensure production takes the highest focus.
